Crystal Beavis

I'm here to serve your interests on Waikato District Council (WDC), drawing on my experience, energy and commitment to all communities in the Tamahere-Woodlands Ward.

Committed to serving you
on Waikato District Council.

I'm your Tamahere-Woodlands Ward Councillor. I’ve lived in Tamahere-Woodlands for 21 years, raised a family here, and I’m committed to using my business experience and advocacy skills to provide you with strong, effective representation.

As a business communications and engagement professional who has also worked for WDC in the past, I have good insight and understanding of Council’s business and processes. I'm Deputy Chair of the Council's Policy and Regulatory Committee and also serve on the other main Council committees - Performance & Strategy, Infrastructure, and Sustainability & Wellbeing.

My governance experience includes 6 years on the Waikato District Health Board working to improve health services for our rural communities.

Before being elected to the Council, I served on the Matangi Community Committee, and I continue to serve on vestry at St Stephen’s Tamahere – home of the Tamahere Country Market. I’m a member of the Institute of Directors, and Life Member of Diabetes Youth NZ. I have an MA (Hons) and PGDipMgmt (Distinction) and I’m married to Godfrey Bridger, a business consultant.
