A strong independent voice for you on local and district issues

Crystal Beavis

I'm standing for re-election as your Tamahere-Woodlands councillor to continue to serve your interests on the Waikato District Council. I bring the experience, energy and commitment you need in a fast-changing environment, with more local government reform ahead.

I stand as an independent and my record shows I am a respected voice representing you on the Council to achieve good outcomes.

I have worked hard for all seven communities in Tamahere-Woodlands and regularly attend meetings in all communities to report to you about Council and to hear your views.

I support a vision of liveable, thriving and connected communities and will continue to work to:

  • Advance aspirations expressed by communities in your own local plans

  • Bring general rates rises down to 3% and less, as budgeted, starting next year

  • Manage core services efficiently including roading (7th longest local network in NZ) and infrastructure

  • Manage the implementation of upcoming Government reform in resource management

  • Continue to work to ensure the communities and people I represent are informed and can engage meaningfully with the Council when it’s important to you

  • Develop genuine, transparent dialogue to ensure that Council decisions are democratically driven.
